Pre-Op Diet


My pre-op diet began on December 23rd and lasts for two weeks before the surgery.  The purpose of the diet is to shrink your liver so that surgery is safer.  The pre-op diet consists of 6 approved protein shakes a day plus non-starchy veggies (like cabbage, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, etc...).  The first day was pretty challenging, but I'm making it through.  Thankfully, it's just my husband and our dogs so I will not be doing any cooking for like the next month or so.  My husband can cook for himself (I know, what a miracle in this day in age, jk jk).  Actually my husband is my biggest support.  I could not do this without him.  He has had my back this entire journey thus far.

Drinking a 6 pack a day, ha
